Match Frame in DaVinci Resolve 16 | Quickly Sync Source and Timeline Clips

In this video we talk about the Match Frame in DaVinci Resolve 16!  Match Frame is a great timesaver that helps you match the original source clip to a clip in the Timeline.  For example, maybe you edited a video clip without the corresponding audio and later you decide you want the audio in the timeline.  Match Frame automatically loads the original source file for that clip into your viewer so you can grab the audio and drag it into the timeline!  Such a great tool I wish I knew about sooner!

Need to dial back or reduce the changes you’ve applied in the Color Tab?  Maybe a LUT is too strong.  In DaVinci Resolve 16 you can reduce the opacity of any NODE in the Color Tab.  Give me 1 minute and 17 seconds and I’ll show you how to do it.

Having two or more projects open at one time in Davinci Resolve can be super helpful.  You can copy video clips, audio clips, text or effects (and more!) from one project to another.  Keep in mind, the more projects you have open, the more of your computer’s resources are used up.  So you don’t want to keep multiple projects open when working on big projects.
